I have contacts in several folders. When I click on creat mail, and then
click on the (To) to chose a contact, I get all the contacts at once from all the contact folders. I want just the main contact folder to show and then be able to chose a defferent contact folder when I want. Is there a way to make this so? |

Sorry, this is a known limitation in Windows Mail.

I agree. This is a huge loss of functionality and I too would like to
complain to Microsoft about this and request they consider adding it back in. I had/have all of my contacts organized into folders so I don't have to search the entire contact list. The new system is very unweildy. Anyone out there from Microsoft? Help! I finally went with Thunderbird and my machine is faster and emailing is a
thousand times faster. Someday when Microsoft gets it's act together I may go back but thunderbird is great, and I really don't know if microsoft will get rid of windows mail they aren't user friendly. Great add for Thunderbird; not so good for Microsoft. Sorting Contacts into
Folders is an intregal part of managing my emails. If Microsoft is unwilling to provide this, most indispensible, service then look out: Thunderbird here I come.
