Default Vista and Yahoo POP3 mail

i am having trouble cinking up my ms mail with my yahoo email account. Has
anyone else had problems? Had no problems before the upgrade to Vista and
have checked and 2x my Inbound and Outbound connections and know they are
correct.
Thanks

There have been some other POP3 problems reported, but, without knowing what
symptoms you're seeing, there's no way to tell if any of the fixes that have
surfaced will help with your problem.

there is a program called Ypops that may help you in retrieving your yahoo mail using WM.

Note that the subject of this thread is about "Yahoo POP3 mail"
not Yahoo web mail.

Also note that Yahoo doesn't offer POP3 e-mail.

Yep, I have Yahoo's POP3 mail through an arrangement with my
DSL provider (AT&T/SBC). Strange that the first URL you cited has
no link to the second URL, but then Yahoo is not known for
consistency. ;-)

I was using web-based email in Windows Mail (Yahoo Mail) for about 2 weeks
and then it just stopped working. Any ideas? I get the following error:

Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user/password', Port: 110, Secure(SSL):
No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I am using the correct user name and password.

Exporting my account, deleting it, and then importing it again (and
inserting my user/password info upon request) made it work again. No idea why.
