What OS are you using, and which version?
Make sure that your account is allowed to use the Live Mail Desktop beta,
and submit to your Microsoft contact about this. I'll pass this on and try
and get a detailed answer for you, but it might be a server error saying it
can't see your email account.

Also, rememeber it's still in pre-beta stage, and that it's only been
distributed to about 100-150 people. If you're using a non-legitimate copy
of it, this can also cause troubles because you need to be allowed to use
the service, as with Windows Live Messenger.

I have a legitimate copy of the live mail desktop.
I am using Windows XP version 2002 SP2.
I have already got all the emails which were on my windows live account but
now whenever i go on to the WLMD it gives me this error.
I can send emails but i cant receive any email because of synchronization
error.

This NG is for Windows Vista Windows Mail. If you have issues with Windows
Live, then you need to direct those issues to the appropriate beta NGs for
that product. This is the wrong place.

Do you have any idea where that might be Steve?
