Default networking in vista version

hi,

i have 3 machines at home presently networked sharing files and printers in
a workgroup. i just got vista ultimate which is now installed on one machine
and networked with two other xp machines.
my question is relating to the lowest version of vista i can install on
other two machines but maintaining my networking status quo.
the ms website states that home basic and home premium do not have
networking center, but i'm not sure if this means no networking at all or
just no networking center but basic networking.
please could someone clarify or explain this for me?

tia

Aloha alex01,

They all have networking, just some are more robust than others. Home Basic,
as you might expect is the most limited but should still work with a network
that small.

thanks. so does it have a network setup wizard like xp?
that's what i'm not to sure about. if it doesn't have the network center -
then what do you use to set it up?

Aloha alex01,

I never use the wizards anyhow - I set up shares by right-clicking the folder
I want to share and choosing "Sharing" in XP. I haven't tried it in Home
Basic but I'd guess that a similar process is available.
