It seems my hard drive is running quite a bit, especially when playing
games. It might be I need more memory to keep it from having to page (1 G installed) or there is something about the SATA drivers that isn't quite right yet. Thanks, Clark |

It could be harddrive indexing too. Try disabling indexing and see if that

I ran the game off an IDE drive and it did about the same thing. I will
install more memory and check, but it may just be the game and Vista. I just added another Gig of RAM and it looks now like the hard drive is
running much less. The BF2 game started right away and I did not have to wait 30 seconds for the hard drive to stop running. I can only guess the thing was paging because 1 gig of memory was not enough in my present configuration. I of course, could be wrong.
