Default Resolution and display settings

I just updated my Windows XP to Vista 32bit, installation went great but when
I loaded it up my display has gone weird, looking like it is in Safe Mode
even though it is not. I can not change my resolution which is stuck on
1024x768 and the only colour setting I can get is 8 bit.

I am on a Dell Dimension 2400, and the Vista Upgrade Advisor said I
wouldn't have a problem with my hardware and software. I have tried
installing different drivers but I cant as it says it is not compatible with
the Operating System. Any ideas?

I am getting the same issue im on a Sony Vaio That the advisor said would be
fine. I am only getting 4 bit as my highest resolution setting. Please copy
me in on any fixes you uncover.

Try updating the video drivers for your card or reinstalling them.

Could you possibly post here what kind of video card you have?
