Default Black Screen

I was having trouble with a black screen appearing after I logged in, I found
a way to get it to go away.
Restart the computer in safe mode, login as Administrator. Then, go to
C:\Windows\System32 folder and run msconfig.exe
Next, go to the Services tab and uncheck Themes
Hit Apply, OK, then restart your computer. After login it should take you to
a normal Classic Mode type themed desktop. It will allow the system to run,
but it won't have themes.

Default Re: Black Screen

Try another video card or update the drivers for the existing card (try to
get vista drivers).
It seems like the problem is that current Vista video subsystem does not
work with your video hardware well
