Default Catalyst Beta Driver for Windows Vista Build 5308

Feedback:
ATI Usability Feedback: This is your opportunity to provide us with feedback
that will help improve software and driver usability

ATI is one of the first graphic providers to make a 64-bit driver that
supports the Longhorn Display Driver Model (LDDM) – the Microsoft Vista
revolutionary graphic driver standard – as well as the first to provide LDDM
drivers for integrated graphics processors. By making LDDM drivers available
more than a full year prior to Windows Vista release, ATI provides
developers with a stable, feature-enabled and performance-optimized platform
for application development. ATI is also the first to provide Catalyst®
Windows Vista driver feedback via our Catalyst® Crew Feedback program.

How good is this driver? I have a Radeon 9550 kicking around that I might
try it out with.

Well for me the X800XT worked perfectly before installing the drivers and
now its very sluggish so I think I might just have to go through the pains
of removing it.

For some very odd reason, it didnt allow me to install it. It would
just hang.

I found it to be a bit 'dodgy' getting it installed. I needed to follow the
install instructions pretty closely (not to the letter, they're not 100%
accurate) to get the drivers installed. Once in however they don't appear to
be any better/worse than the defaults.

Hello,
I have Toshiba P30 laptop with mobility RADEON 9700 64M ram. I tried to
install the driver and it went fine. Then I had to reboot the computer. And
then when it tired to initialize the graphic I got BSOD.
If you need any more info on my hardware setup feel free to contact me.

cheers,
Tomaľ
