5308 Realtek AC97 - problem

I have instaled sound card driver (Realtec AC'97) but WMP dasn't work, don't
playing mp3 files, live internet radio etc.
I haven't sound efects, it's like the driver is not enabled, but i Devices
Menager is corect.

You have this problem in your computer?

Also have an onboard realtek AC'97 (Asus A8V Deluxe mainboard) and it
working fine. Windows installed the drivers during install, din't even need
to install aditional drivers.
But when i look in the device manager, i see its called "VIA AC'97 Enhanced
Audio Controller".

Maybe try the XP drivers u got with your soundcard ... I had to use the XP
drivers for my raid controller to make it work and it installed and works
without any problems.

This build has major problems with the sound stack, and likewise with the
Realtek drivers. Your best bet is to roll back to no driver, reinstall the
card, and see if you can try again. Also, you didn't indicate, was the
driver you used the one that was out of the box or did you download it from
your mb manufacturer's site?

I have no problems at all with the realtek sound card ...

The drivers i used for my raid are out of the box.
