Default Computer Slows During Printing

Hi Friends,

I am running WINDOWS XP on a new computer with 250 RAM.

I notice that I have 100% CPU usage during printing. I am wondering if that
is why my computer slows down terribly during printing. Is there anything
wrong and what can I do

Thanx a million

Shmiel

That is by design. No interrupts are associated with a printer if connected
on a parallel bus. Read 318273 at MS knowledge base.

As the Man said, that is how it works.....I have an AMD 1.3 gig cpu and 1
gig of RAM and mine has always taken 100 percent of the processors 'time'
while printing; I don't know about USB2.0 printing(?)
