Error Code 0X00000124

RC1 Upgrade fails with the above error code from clean install and upgrade.
Beta 2 installs without problem with the exact same configuration.

It fails at the "completing upgrade stage" (during the upgrade style
install) and give a blue screen with the 0X00000124 Error Code.

Computer:
Gigabyte GA7VAXP
AMD Athlon 3000+ XP
1 G Ram
Seagate 300 GB PATA
ATI Radeon X700 256mb
Gateway FPD2185W
On board sound, ethernet
Smart Card reader
NEC 2510 DVD Burner
(2nd DVD drive disabled)

This install has now failed 6 times in the exact same place.

Any advice is welcome...

Well, everything except the CPU Ram and HDD and DVD drive were disabled /
removed, motherboard set to "failsafe" (lowest settings) and still the same
error code persists.

Has anybody else with that gigabyte motherboard had any success?

If not, I just don't have the time for any more beta induced time loss. @#$%!
