Default Media Center

I recently installed an upgrade to Windows Vista from Win XP Home Media
Center Edition and I can not get my Media Center to open. I can see the icon
on the desktop but when you click it to open, it gives me a error that it can
not open because of a software violation policy. What does this mean? How can
I fix it?

Try searching for Media Center in the start menu search. You may see two
listings if you upgraded. Perhaps, the shortcut is broken or pointed to the
older version.

I typed Media Center in the search bar of start menu and only 1 Media Center
showed. There was a Media Center icon listing and a Media Center folder icon
I clicked on each one of them and still get the same message-software
restriction policy-

Try this
Go to control Panel........then click on Default Programs.........then click
on Set Program Access and Computer Defaults .......then click on
Custom.........under choose a default media player.......enable windows media
center..........shortcuts should then work.

Shortcut can be created for the media
center..........C:\windows\ehome\ehshell.exe
