Default Vista not powering PC off

I have changed both the power button and Start menu power button to shut the
system down. When I actually select shutdown , the computer closes windows,
shuts down the monitors but will not shut power off to the PC. I have the
latest mobo bios . Any clues as to what is preventing my machine from
powering down?

CH

Asus P5B Deluxe, Q6600, 2 GB OCz DDR2 ,ATI 1650,

Thanks John,

The kb is the first place I always go and have already reviewed this info. I
am using the latest bios so not sure if there is an issue with it or not. It
certainly is not global as all P5B users are not complaining of this.

perhaps I should reflash?
