Hello,
My Emachine that I have had for only two years kicked the bucket two days ago because a chip on the mother board burnt out. Last night, I got a brand new HP Pavilion Slimline s7700y series desktop. I have yet to set it up because I got home late and I am now in school. However, I plan to when I get home. I am an artist and have been using Photoshop CS for a while now, but I don't have the CD, I got it for free from my boyfriend who sent to me through the Internet. I am putting all my old files from my old hard drive on to a memory stick or CD and transferring them to my new computer. This also means the information I had to run Photoshop. I just want to know whether or not Photoshop CS will run on my new computer, which has Windows Vista, especially because I don't have the Photoshop CD-ROM. I really need Photoshop because I do a lot of art commissions for people and I have people waiting.. Thanks guys ![]() |

Yes, Kelsey, CS2 seems right at home on VISTA 32 bit.
BTW, It's a very bad idea to advertise the fact that your boyfriend is casually sharing Adobe software. He has the disk, but just sent me the information, mine was destroyed by my
younger brother. There goes 400 dollars down the drain... By the way, I was asking about CS not CS2 |

Kelsey,
Just install the darn thing and see what happens. If it doesn't work, then get off the hip for a CS2.3 upgrade. I still have the box though with the serial information, just not the program
unfortuantly. I guess I did made that sound wrong in my first post, I don't do the stealing thing. Its all one big virus anyway. |

Hahaha
Knowing my luck, the computer will explode. I'm good with them, but they hate me. I'll try, but it was just a simple question... |

Kelsey,
You will need to get the CD and install it from there. You can not copy it from you old computer to your new computer and expect it to run, it doesn't work that way. If you are a registered user then contact Adobe, tell them that you have
lost your CD or whatever has happened to it and they will tell you what you have to do to get a replacement CD. Since it appears that you are being paid for your artistic services make sure your fees include enough to cover the costs of upgrades. This way you will be able to take advantage of the enhancements.
