Ambrose , if you are a citizen of the USA and have not read any posts about the
prices of Vista in the rest of the world, your post is understandable. Otherwise how can you say that Vista is underpriced for the rest of the world when you are only paying half of the amount that most of rest of the world is paying for it. Lots of posts complaining about Vista are all based on that the fact that we (in my case the UK) are being charged extortionate prices for Vista and are being ripped off compared to citizens of the USA . If you were aware of this, then the last part of my original post applies to you. ![]() Have a nice day! |

Hello Barry,
Possibly it's somewhat as the Tax Rate within the UK compared to the US Tax Rate? Each time you receive payment for your work efforts, what amount is deducted or paid to the UK Government? Why you folks must pay much higher prices for products and other stuff is beyond my understanding, other than, in general, possibly government abuse… possibly. What previously I attempted expressing, for the product "value" for Windows Vista, the product (Vista) value is greatly under-priced regardless of the country that one resides. Consider this thought, in your opinion, in respect to functionality and OS Security, how does Windows Vista compare to the original Windows DOS Version, or Win 3.1, or Win 95, or Win 98, or Win Xp? Regarding the above choices, today, which OS would you prefer owning / using? and, which version of Windows would you choose if the price / cost is equal? A computer running the original Windows DOS OS, the financial cost was near equal with today's cost for a new computer running Windows Vista. The same is true if that "new" computer is built for running -any/all- previous versions of Windows. Seriously, today, the only change or difference, today one has the freedom for using the most state-of-the-art OS that includes built-in ultimate Security that women and men ever did invent, for the near same financial cost as we paid beginning during the mid 1980s. During the mid 1980s, that IBM Computer running Windows DOS and was simply the state-of-the-art OS. What consumes my internal dialogue, in respect to Windows Vista, how can the above be possible; don't understand but it's accurate. By the way, that original IBM Computer running Windows DOS, today is located on display inside the Smithsonian at Washington, DC as a demonstration for how computing technology has advanced. PS: Kinda think I like the method that you addressed this Post, as Ambrose. Respectfully, -- Life is Wonderful while using Vista solo !
