Vista and Original XBox Extender

So it looks like Vista does not support Extender on the Original Xbox. After
spending 2 hours on the phone with support (for no other resin other than to
test their knowledge) I got the answer I was looking for, well after
providing it to Xbox support. That is that the MediaCentre updates did not
take into account original Xbox which will not allow you to D/L updates for
MediaCentre.

Anyway, while I appreciate that MS will retire the original Xbox and can't
support both platforms (Xbox and 360) I do hope that they keep in mind those
customers who first bought into the Idea of consolidated home entertainment
and supported MS in that endeavor.

I currently use my original Xbox as no more than an extender. It is vary
effective and servers the purpose. I hope MS provide an Update, even a D/L
update on Xbox.com so as us who supported them in their venture into home
entertainment will not be tossed aside.
