Default performance issue

Hi all.

installed Vista on a separate partition on my system running Win2k3.
I encounter massive performance problems opening windows like IE7 (3-5min)
to open.
I installed build 5308 on a Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.6 Ghz, 2 MB RAM.

Trying to start the performace check hangs up.
Any ideas what the problem could be.

/Christian

Here is your problem - "2 MB RAM." ;-)

Anyway, I have not experience performance issues like the case with IE 7
taking that long to open, I would format and do a reinstall, also defrag the
drive to see if it will do any good.

2 MB aren't enough ? It's a pity... :-)

OK -- I meant 2GB, but anyway I do not know the reason.

Its definitely laggy in some areas, especially on Start up and Shutdown. But
like many have said, its not opitmized for performance yet, maybe we will
see some changes in BETA 2.
