Default Installing on first partition with multiple os

Hi,

When i format my first partition to install vista on it, will i still be
able to access the os on other partitions?

This is the current situation ...
Partition1 (30gb): Windows Server x64
Partition2 (30gb): XP
Partition3 (18gb): Vista

Now my problem is, the third partition is only 18gig
Cause i dont use the server anymore, i want to put vista on the first
partition. At this moment i installed office 2003, vs2005, sdk .... so i
only have 1.3 gig left on it

If not possible i guess i will need to reinstall xp as well

btw. when i removed my third partion and recreated it (using vista setup) i
was not able to format it anymore, had to go into xp to create and format
the partition ... is this a bug in the setup?

You best bet here is to just back any data you have stored on these
partitions and do some clean installs. Install the older OS first, in this
case you shouldn't have problem since you plan to keep XP on the second
partition, the Windows Vista boot manager should still recognize and allow
you to boot into it. What I would do though, just to be safe is after
formatting the Server 2003 x64 and Vista partitions is boot into XP and
launch Vista setup from within the OS and select the Partition 1 to install
Vista on.

k, tnx, don't really need to backup ... all data is stored on other hd.
Never tried to start install from inside XP, just boot with the vista
install disc and works fine.

Think i will repartition the entire disc ... when i got lots of time free
