You can also use Webopedia which has an excellent glossary although
sometimes you read the defs and still wonder what the hell they meant (but
that's true of some IT definitions anyway because they use equally esoteric
terms for definition components) and one way to get quick definitions is to
take google or other search engines and type in
define: wifi if wifi were the word you were trying to define.

Webopedia used to be one of my favorite sites. But I agree that it can be
very IT.
