why do I have to register everytime?

I am running a dual boot xp pro/vista, whenever I login to vista it tells me
that I need to register, I must have registered at least a dozen times. Why
does it do this? I have loads of e mails saying thanks for registering.

Registration is not required. You may safely cancel the alert. That's
assuming it really is registration and not activation.
