Default duelboot


hey guys if you want to duel boot into xp and vista you need a program called
Bootit

im useing it to duel boot from xp pro to vista on the same machine
but cant seem to get my lexmark x6170 printer to print on vista

duel means fighting...

dual means "2"....

its dual boot... :-)

You don't need a program to dual boot. Windows will quite happily sort it
out for you.

I had no problems installing Vista and dual-booting on my XP Pro machine. I
installed Vista Beta 2 on a separate SATA HD. I have not yet experimented
with printing from Vista.

I wouldn't scoff at third party boot managers too much. XP creates a few
problems for Vista that hiding one from the other can prevent. Mark
Vandenberg and a few others recommend it to prevent loss of Vista system
restore points, for example. I certainly don't plan to dual boot XP and
Vista without such precautions once Vista is out and I start using it in
production.

Maybe I came across wrong. I was not scoffing. Just saying that people do
not NEED a third party program as he suggested.

Nevertheless, unlike XP and earlier versions of Windows, Vista does need
protection from XP and the current MS bootloader doesn't do it.
