This year - maybe. Seeing as Beta 2 still hasn't really been released.. I am not holding my breath. What was the wording for the release today.. Oh yeah.. "This build is not beta quality but is being provided as a preview of our progress towards Beta 2." I could have sworn I was expecting Beta 2 in January.. February maybe. *grin* Ah well - I can wait. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |

Actually, it should be released sometime in the second half of 2006, many
are presuming October. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Panda_man" <Pandaman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E9525CD0-F06F-43CB-9B1D-0E69315900A8@microsoft.com... > When is Vista going to released? > I have heard it isn't soon and I know it is still in Beta but recently > there > are so many advertisements showing different feautures in Vista and it has > special section in MS's site ...Am I missing something? Thanks for the > answer. > > > Panda_man > -- > Prevention is always better than cure ! > Panda TruPrevent - the most intelligent technology to combat unknown > malware > http://www.pandasoftware.com > http://pandaman.hit.bg |

Andre
MS have been hoping that it may be released in the last quarter of this year.. the rest of us have learned to wait patiently without holding our breath.. In the meantime, there is a perfectly good operating system in existence, available to all, and it's name doesn't start with the letter 'L'.. :-) -- Mike Hall MVP - Windows Shell/User "Andre Da Costa [Extended64]" <andred25@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:%23MzaRcUOGHA.3556@TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... > Actually, it should be released sometime in the second half of 2006, many > are presuming October. > -- > -- > Andre > Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com > Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com > Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre > http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta > FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm > "Panda_man" <Pandaman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:E9525CD0-F06F-43CB-9B1D-0E69315900A8@microsoft.com... >> When is Vista going to released? >> I have heard it isn't soon and I know it is still in Beta but recently >> there >> are so many advertisements showing different feautures in Vista and it >> has >> special section in MS's site ...Am I missing something? Thanks for the >> answer. >> >> >> Panda_man >> -- >> Prevention is always better than cure ! >> Panda TruPrevent - the most intelligent technology to combat unknown >> malware >> http://www.pandasoftware.com >> http://pandaman.hit.bg > > |

Right now, the best guess is sometime between August 31 and December 1. In
other words, nobody actually knows yet. Not even Microsoft Marketing, which most likely has the final say. -- Nancy Ward MSN Messenger MVP "Panda_man" <Pandaman@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E9525CD0-F06F-43CB-9B1D-0E69315900A8@microsoft.com...

Hi,
actually, even if MS Marketing knew the release date they wouldn't tell you because there is a constest about guessing the release date. https://www.microsoft.com/betaexper...st/default.aspx -- David This Posting is provided AS IS with NO WARRANTIES and confers NO RIGHTS "NLWard" <nlraines@damspamhotmail.comnoneferme> wrote in message news:e09GBQVOGHA.1180@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > Right now, the best guess is sometime between August 31 and December 1.
