I have a Dell PC that's a few years old and it has an nVidia GeForce4
MX 420 video card, which seems to be a pretty good card for most things. However, I think I may need to upgrade in the near future because, quite frankly, I'm not sure that it's going to be able to handle Call of Duty 3. :-) It could handle the original Call of Duty, and it did a pretty good job at CoD 2 but I wasn't able to take advantage of all the detail available in the game without bogging the card down. I'm going to assume that CoD 3 is going to be even more taxing on the card. So, I'll probably need to upgrade but I don't want to spend a heap of cash on a card. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I want something that can handle some newer games. I don't want to lay down $250 for a card. What would you recommend? It looks to me like just about any nVidia card would be an upgrade from what I have now. Should I just pick something up in the nVidia 6 line? Thanks, John |

I suspect agp since I don't think a pci-e MX420 was sold.Without replacing your power supply I would probably go with: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16814130051 |
