Hi all:
I already have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 (PCI card) which I really like it, the video quality is really good. By the way, I'm just curious, I'm thinking of buying another USB version of WinTV (WinTV-USB2, model 1020: http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/prods_usb.html). As this is a USB version, I wonder if the video quality that it recorded will be as good as the PCI version (WinTV PVR-150), did anyone test this before?? What is your conclusion? Many thanks! By the way, I assume that I should be able to use the WinTV-USB2 to record satellite TV programs, such as ETTV (http://www.ettvamerica.com/) programs, is this the case? For my PVR-150 I was able to use titantv.com to schedule recording cable-tv recordings just like Tivo, but I have not tried on satellite TV program. Is there any titantv.com similar websites (or programs) that could let me view channels, program information and titles, and help me schedule recording satellite TV programs just like titantv.com?? Could mythtv do this? Thanks! |

hey there,
well im currently using the wintv-pvr-usb2 its amazing. rocording is cool and very good quality. but to save some more space i just convert the recording to avi save lots of space. anyways, im having a problem with the schedule timer, since my tv tuner is connected to a satellite reciever using s-video, i can not change channels and i cant schedule a time recording either, i have to do it all manually. kinda boring where i cant record my favorite shows while am at work, i have to ask my brother to do it when he's home. if u come up with a solution to that let me know as soon as u can please. ps: what i mean by mannually is that u have to press the recors button and then the stop button to stop recording. |
