need buying tips

I want to buy aprinter for home. I wouldlike it to be All in Oneand
CD/DVD direct print capabilities. Same time I want to make sure that I
can get cheap and best ink catridges. Please advise me which brand I
would go for??
I have anew HP printer(PSC 1401 All in One).But the power module (
power adapter) is out of order and can not find the same anywhere..Pls
help
