my canon mp360 died, bought the mp160 but it doens't have comptible ink cartridges anymore? help

i used my mp360 alot in the last three years and loved it. the ink
cartridges are so cheap but too bad it died on me. just bought the
newer mp160 and looked like there are no compatible cartridges for it.
i'm thinking about returning it since it'll cost too much for the
genuine ones. what other brand of printers have compatible cartridges?
