Single Instance Categories

Previous releases allowed the category of a single instance of a reoccurring
meeting to be changed. It was useful in indicating a visual state change of
that single meeting, i.e. invited verse attended. I am now met by a message
saying category changes can only be applied to all instances. What happened?
