It would be of great advantage if MS Outlook had some way of intering daily
records of events that could be searched. For example, if I worked on a project where I had to schedule a sample to be taken. It would be nice to have some way of searching back through the calendar to find when the sample was taken and what those results were without having to block out time on the calendar. Is there some other product that will work with MS Outlook to do this type of record keeping and searhability? This is one of the items that Franklin Covey offers in their software. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. That sounds like what the Journal folder was designed to do.

Using the journal would work, but it does not tie your record to a date. What
I would like to see is something that is tied in with the calendar so that dates, times, people, places, etc can be searched and I do not have to have a file for each day. What I do now is have a daily repeating task called DRE and put all my information in the notes section. This works great with one exception. MS Outlook will not search the notes section and that is the problem. So what is the Start Time control on the journal form doing, if not tying the entry to a date? -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Ted" <Ted@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:08BCF3F6-2646-49A1-8E17-C98322673BE3@microsoft.com... > Using the journal would work, but it does not tie your record to a date.
