Thank you for the link. I got stuck on the step where you select the added
series and convert it to a scatter plot. When I tried to do that, I got a message that said "some chart types cannot be combined with other chart types. select a different chart type." I tried to select each different kind of scatter plot type but none would work. I am using Excel 2007, if that makes a difference. can someone help me? Excel 2007 doesn't realize you can combine a stock chart with another
chart type (the designers probably never used Excel for real work). You'll have to start from scratch. Make a chart with four line chart series (open, high. low, close in that order) and one XY series, with all series on the primary axis. On the middle chart tools tab, add high-low lines and up-down bars. This adds these features to the line chart series, effectively making it a stock type chart.
