Default .NET CF 2.0 on Windows Mobile 5.0 (arm) // Installation Errors

hello.

I am having difficulties and hope you know how to help.

I unistalled the .net framework on my mobile device (by accident).

I have tried to reinstall the 2.0 version and repeatedly get an
installation error right before it completes the process. The error
says I must turn off all running programs and make sure there is
enough disk space and then I should proceed again to load the files. I
removed unnessesary files from my device, and closed all programs as
directed and still receive this error. ('Error 2')

1) How do I totally remove the .net from my PocketPC? (Should I?)
I thought if I could start fresh I would have no problem installing
it. I cannot find an unistaller.

2) Does .net come native on my windows device?
I know I installed it at least twice. The second time it asked if it
could remove the cuurent .net framework to continue (I thought I was
upgrading) so I agreed and the new installers (2.0) do not produce the
same effect so I am stuck with a lower version/defunct version.

3) How do I install the native (original) .net or do I have to backup
& reset my entire device?

/or/

4) What is the best .net app to install on my Windows Mobile (Cingular
8125) and how?

Many thanks for your assistance and intellect.

Default RE: .NET CF 2.0 on Windows Mobile 5.0 (arm) // Installation Errors

Have you tried soft rebooting your device?

Are you getting a storage error or out of memory error when you try to
re-install CF2.0?

1.) The easy way is to hard-reset your deice. Backup any non-persistent data
before doing this though.

2.) CF 1.0 SP3 comes pre-installed in ROM on WM 5.0 devices. You only need
this if you are writing CF1.0 apps, but it seems you are writting CF2.0 apps
so you need to treat your device as if the CF is not installed. You can't
install the same version of the CF in RAM twice.

3.) You can't reinstall or uninstall CF1.0 as it is always present in ROM.

4.) I don't understant question 4, the "best" .NET app?? Please clarify.
