Default strnge packets on serial on windows CE 5.0

hi all..probably this isn't the right forum but i think that it is quite
possible that someone of you has experienced this strange behaviour of
windows ce 5.0

so i try to explain my situation:

i have a pocket pc (HP ipaq2190) with windows ce 5.0

it's "usb" port, the only one which all pocket pc have at its bottom, is
linked in a craddle which convert from the pocket pc port to a serial port
also giving power to
the pocket pc

this structure works fine ...with my c# application i can exchange data to
an other device linked in serial

developping my solution i have noticed that if th pocket pc is shut down it
sends strange packets of 4 bytes throught serial even if all my applications
are closed. this trasmission happens every ten minutes and it seems that
windows makes this...

very strange is that if the pocket pc is on this sendings don't happen

anyone has never experienced this situation? or knows why this happens?

Default RE: strnge packets on serial on windows CE 5.0

if this can be useful for someone
i have found that probably the strange packets are caused by the activesync
but changing the register key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Comm\Autocnt
from 1 to 0 i have disabled the activesync but the damned packets still
remains..
so if some one has had my same problem i can say that this methods...doesn't
work
