As you may know, press and hold the power button will dim the backlight on
most pocket PCs. Once dimmed, the only way to turn the backlight on is to press and hold the power button again. This causes some problems for some ordinary users: they accidentally press and hold the power button and turn the backlight off but do not know how to turn it back on. So, I want to disable this feature on the iPaq h22xx series , that is, make the power button turn on/off the device only. Some Pocket PCs like Dell X51 has this as a option under Settings, which make me believe it is in the registry. Has anyone successfully done this or know where the registry key is for iPaq h2000? Thanks! |

You're assuming it's a registry key. It could be a nonconfigurable OS
feature, or even done below it in a CPLD or similar. Regardless, there's no standard backlight control API, and I've never heard of anyone even attempting to change this specific behavior, let alone succeeding to do it. Sounds more like a training issue anyway. -- Chris Tacke OpenNETCF Consulting Managed Code in the Embedded World www.opennetcf.com -- "Robert" <rliuyh@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:OtKnFQ3FHHA.3668@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > As you may know, press and hold the power button will dim the backlight on > most pocket PCs.
