Hi
I tried running the program on my device so I got a message that the program can't run because the CLR version needed (2.0) is not installed I then Tried to install manually using the following file: NETCFv2.ppc.ARMV4.cab and I got the following message:Microsoft NET CF 2.0 failed to install because the installation file is not intended for this version of the device I then Tried downloading a new image of the OS from the manufacturer (it is ACER N30) and it keeps failing at about half way What can I do now. is there another file that may be suitable or there is a method that would allow using this file to be installed Thank you, Samuel |

Some devices (especially older ones from second tier manufacturers) have
bugs in OEM portion of the OS. That prevents installation of NETCF V2 in some cases because device incorrectly identifies itself. You can try NETCF V2 SP1 CAB for CE 4.2 (NETCFv2.wce4.ARMV4.cab) instead. If that does not work you can't run NETCF V2 on this device. Thanks for your reply,
I can't find the file that you mentioned in the following location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SmartDevices\SDK\CompactFramework\2.0\v2.0\WindowsCE\wce400\armv4 Do you know how I can get hold of one?
