Hi,
I am looking for a ready setup package, which has included CF 2.0 and SQL Mobile and which runs automatically on the device by putting the storage card which it is saved on in. I decided this is the best way for my scenario: A CF App with huge database files (~ 150 MB) which is to large to install it completely on the device. So I think it would be the best way to ship wo storage cards: one with the setup, and one with the app itself and/or the database files. I tried a lot of tools for doing that, but no one runs correctly. I tried Installshield 12, PocketPC Installer and PocketWizard. All of this fail by generating the package (PocketWizard) or executing it on the device (test device runs with windows mobile 5). How do you deliver your software to end users? I can't believe there is no ready installer for CF and SQL Server ... Regards, Thomas |

Check out NSIS - it's open source and can install via ActiveSync to
different locations......it might fit your needs. I know I searched for a multicab install but no one fit the bill. http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page HTH Harry "Thomas Bandt" <thomas@anonymousspamcenter.com> wrote in message news:%23AYmdKz1GHA.324@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Hi, > > I am looking for a ready setup package, which has included > CF 2.0 and SQL Mobile and which runs automatically on the > device by putting the storage card which it is saved on in. > > I decided this is the best way for my scenario: > > A CF App with huge database files (~ 150 MB) which is to > large to install it completely on the device.
