Hi Catherine,
Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, right-click/rename the catroot2 folder to catold. Then retry the SP1 installation. When finished, there will be a new catroot2 folder and you can safely delete the old renamed one. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers aka "Nutcase" MS-MVP - Win9x http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WinXP - Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Win98 Help - www.rickrogers.org "Catherine" <cchuahsg@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:144501c3827a$64c7c2e0$a401280a@phx.gbl... > Hi, > Have this error while executing XP SP1 (failed) > "Setup Could Not Verify the Integrity of the File > update.inf.
