Yep ... and it's a fun "game" too ...

I popped the DVD in the drive, just to have a look-see, and carried on the install there & then ... It saved all MyDocuments and a couple other folders in to one folder called Windows.old ... and yes, it was a clean install. Nice to have all me "stuff" in one place.

Got me Firefox & Thunderbird loaded, that helps me with the familiarity bit, the radio buttons for the smillies are 3d indented ... nice.

Need new AV, but as my subs for KAV are due next month I may just opt for an upgrade to KAV6 ... was gonna try NOD32 but it seems they are somewhat behind on Vista.

Downloaded the 50mb drivers for my Logitech MX1000 mouse ... yep, 50MB ... who says MS have bloated software ... what the feckin hell do I need 50mb for ???

Was nicely surprised that the "gadgets" has a weather station for ... Southport.

I do have 2 unknown devices ... need to pop over to nVidia and see what they are.

I have left all the bells-n-whistle on ... no performance degrade as far as I can see.

It is quite intuitive and familiar at the same time.

Next.
