Remote procedure call terminated

Hi,

My laptop keeps shutting down each time I log onto the
internet. A text box comes up and informs me that Windows
must now restart because the remote procedure call has
terminated unexpectedly.

Can anyone help me fix the problems? Do I need to reload
windows XP?
