I,m Trying to boot from the CD-Rom, But the computer
seems to not want to. I've tried most all of the combinations in the boot sequence of the Bios on this Motherboard: EPoX EP-8KTA3 VIA Apollo KT133A VIA Apollo KT133A Chipset + VIA VT82C686B BIOS Award/Phoenix BIOS v6.0 Any Ideas Thanks Bruce.. |

With the CD-ROM drive first in line in the boot sequence and with the XP CD in the CD-ROM drive, boot the system, if another operating system is already installed, you should, at some point during the boot process see a message to hit any key if you wish to boot from the CD. You must do that or it won't boot from the CD, assuming an OS is already installed on the system. -- Michael Solomon MS-MVP Windows Shell/User Backup is a PC User's Best Friend DTS-L.Org: http://www.dts-l.org/ |

First, are you using an XP CD or a backup copy you might have burned
yourself? If a backup copy, try the actual CD. Second, the issue may be how your CD Rom drive is connected or jumpered. Are you sure it is properly connected and jumpered. What you are telling us sounds like a hardware issue, not a software problem. -- Michael Solomon MS-MVP Windows Shell/User Backup is a PC User's Best Friend DTS-L.Org: http://www.dts-l.org/ "Bruce" <brucebenjamin@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:0db701c36191$217df180$a401280a@phx.gbl... > > >-----Original Message----- > >Benji wrote: > >> I,m Trying to boot from the CD-Rom, But the computer > >> seems to not want to.
