Hey, brand new to the forum, how you guys doing? Anyways, I have laptop, Dell 600C with Windows XP professional. When I start up th laptop, it goes through the Dell loading screen, then says "EDO Memory was detected in Socket 1, nearest the audio jacks. Strike the F1 key to Shutdown." Anybody have any idea what to do about this? Thanks in advance -- triplepz2003 |

It is a recurring problem, before i would say this occasionally, but i could eventually get it to come on but now it will not get past this -- triplepz2003 |

You can remove and replace the memory, or take it to a computer shop. |

That is what you'd want to reseat. Requires removing the memory cover plate, to get at it. Disconnect AC and remove battery pack, before you go in there.
