the cds aren't read by my computer.when i put the disk in it makes a couple
of sounds. this happenes wit any cd. |

You could have a faulty connection (check the power and both ends of the
data cable). This is unlikely if the CD drive has worked OK and no work has been done to the inside of the computer. Far more likely the CD drive has died. This can be easily checked by installing another CD drive. Regards. > of sounds. this happenes wit any cd. Have you opened up/cleaned/moved your computer recently? It could have jostled the bus connection for your CD drive out of its socket. If so, stick the bus back in. Im not sure where to put it if the detatchment is on the motherboard, but the connection for any drive is at the back of the drive. |

First step - doubleclick the My Computer icon on your desktop and
see if the CD-Rom is listed. If not, the drivers are not installed. Second - If it is, rightclick the drive and click Properties>Auto Play tab, see what it is set to do. Hi,
