starting my computer

when i start my computer it says windows whatever cannot be found. it says to
run my cd on first page. and press r. but i do that and nothing happens. It
was working fine one day and the next nothing. says it can't be found. can
someone please help me fix my desktop.

Please post back with the exact text of the error message to get
