Default windows XP cannot load http pages.

I have Windows XP installed on my laptop.. SP2 completely updated ..
This is a really weird issue.. When I reboot my laptop, everything
works fine for about 20 minutes. after that I cannot browse to any
websites with http on them.. Everything else works.. https, ftp,
bittorrents, yahoo, msn, skype messengers.. I can ping to websites and
Ip addresses..

I also tried going to the websites by putting in their IP addresses.

I have tried winsock fix, but it does not seem to help.
I used adaware, spybot and norton a/v to see if they find anything,
but the laptop seems to be clean.
I do not operate any firewall on my laptop.. not even windows
firewall..

is there anything left besides formatting and re-installing from
scratch??
