I have a client using Windows XP Home who has a habit of bringing up the
Date and Time Properties (double clicking on the taskbar) and accidentally changing the date. Is there any way to lock this down on a standalone computer? Some registry setting perhaps, or script? I know that windows XP Pro has that feature on gpedit.msc, but how can I do it in Windows XP Home? Thanks |

You're quite right that XP Home doesn't natively support what you want to do. Try either MVP Doug Knox's Security Console or the MS Shared Computer Toolkit. http://www.dougknox.com http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...ss/default.mspx microsoft.public.windows.sharedaccess - Toolkit newsgroup Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!"
