how to set up host or remote computor

I need to link 2 computors using the internet to be able to use the same
program. The problem is they are in 2 different locations/houses. I need to
be able to allow my bookkeeper access to quickbooks. Quickbooks is set up but
not xp. How do I get the computors set up???
