i have went from NT domain to 2003 domain, joined domain and copied profiles
to new user on new domain, but what is happening is the profile works fine with administrative rights, but if I change it to power user the background goes blank, and you cant change it, if you delete a file, it dissapears, doesnt go to recycle bin and not sure what else is wrong, but once I put it back to having admin rights, it works great, looks like the persons desktop and the way it was on the old profile. any ideas, it is happening to all my pc's, close to 100, thanks for any help |

You may need to take ownership of the profile folder as the new user, because
the new and old SIDs won't match. This is the most likely reason. Other point might possibly be relevant is that you should never change the physical location of a profile, it should always be under the same folder and path on the HD. ------------------------------- An alternative Network-Logon for Windows: http://mylogon.net Say No to Preinstalled Junk:http://genuinewindows.co.uk |
