Hi,
It sounds like you activated FilterKeys. You can uncheck that option at Control Panel> Accessibility Options> Keyboard> uncheck FilterKeys. If you click on Settings, you can disable the right Shift shortcut. Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "bob" <bob@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E108FF6C-118B-43E5-847A-6F1A932081DA@microsoft.com... > i pressed o.k. on a pop-up that came up when i held the shift key to long > now i have to hoold down a key for a long time for it to activate how do i > deactivate this |

Well I hate to be the one to tell you this but you may have adware.
Advertising programs you did not want because you hit OK. I would reccommend downloading Ad-Aware. It is a free program designed to detect AD-Aware and spyware. Once you download it and install it do a full system scan on your computer and delete all suspect files. The website to get a free copy is: www.lavasoft.com Best Regards, Kaja "bob" wrote: > i pressed o.k. on a pop-up that came up when i held the shift key to long > now i have to hoold down a key for a long time for it to activate how do i > deactivate this |

To disable this feature follow these steps: 1. Press SHIFT 5 times consecutively. The StickyKeys box will pop up. 2. Click Settings. Accessibility Options pops up. 3. On the "Keyboard" tab click the "Settings" button in the "StickyKeys" section. 4. Uncheck the items in this window and click OK. 5. Click Apply and OK on Accessibility Options. To learn more about StickyKeys and other Accessibility Features open Help and Support and search for "StickyKeys" or "Accessibility" -- Jason Reynold |
