Default Does XP SP1 memory glitch exist in embedded SP1?

I am working with various XPe images and have come across a particular
problem when working with an older SP1 image. When running the same
set of services on both XPe SP1 and XPe SP2 I notice a significant
difference in memory usage. Specifically, the virtual memory
allocation varies by at least one order of magnitude more on the SP1
box.

I noticed <a href="http://www.computerworld.com/securitytopics/
security/holes/story/0,10801,79841,00.html">THIS </a> article
regarding a glitch in XP SP1 and wondered if the same should be true
for XP embedded.

Does anyone know of other memory management improvements made to XPe
after service pack one?
Is there any other information regarding memory management issues with
XPe SP1?

thanks in advance.
