installation problem

I read the post by Bengt-Inge, while installing the database a message
reports other applications are using it. I have the same problem, tried both
to disable the AV and to uninstall the sql desktop angine - and remove the
residual registry keys and folders. On anotehr machine, I can install but I
cannot update database to service pack 2
Any help? Thank you in advance
