Hope you can help…I’m running in the Windows XP Home format….Installed in my
computer is your InterVideo WinDVD Version 4.0-B11.386….I ran the Window Media Player 10 for years with no problem and then “upgraded” to Version 11…This was more confusing to use than Version 10 and I followed Microsoft’s instructions for rolling back to Version 10…If it helps, my problem is trying to sync radio podcasts that I listen to…I get a Windows Error Message #80010105 that reads “Server threw an exception”. It says this message comes up “ when you try to synchronize a file that cannot be converted to the format required by the devise. In this sceanerio, the file you are trying to synchonize was encoded(compressed) by using an MPEG-2 codec and your devise cannot play files in this format. Windows Media Player cannot convert the file from the MPEG-2 format to the required format because a compatible MPEG-2 decoder (also known as a DVD decoder) is not installed on your computer. To solve the problem, you must install a compatible decoder.. It then lists “InterVideo WinDVD” as a compatible decoder…I’m pretty much a novice at this, so I’m trying to find if the InterVideo WinDVD decoder is still in my computer and if it is, how to “start” it or get it to work…It is listed in my “Add/Delete Programs” in my “Control Panel” showing the version # as previously mentioned…What is strange is that I can “sync” a podcast from one radio station, but not one from another ( I only listen to these 2 different programs each day). Thanks....Ron |

If I remember, when I went to add/remove to uninstall 11, it asked if I wanted it to roll back to 10 and it did just that. |

It all worked fine according to all the "roll back" instructions...but the error happens when I tried to sync on the new/old Version 10... They seem to like forcing 11 on people even when you (try to) ask for 10. good luck... |

[I'd verify that the reinstall fixed all problems before getting the updates tho, as it may be an update that "breaks" it again, and if you determine this it true then you can use Add/Remove Programs to reverse specific that update]. |
