Default Access Point device


I have a xpe device. I would like to make it as access point device (like a
linksys access point).
has anyone done this before ? or how to get it started ?

There was a software application from PCTEL - Segue Soft Access Point
Module.

I do not think they sell the software anymore, but it sounded interesting.
